Community Action Team

The four members of the community action team stand in front of the police headquarters.

The Hudson Police Department is a strong advocate of community engagement and the problem-solving strategies embraced through community policing. We believe that a police department will never be truly successful without lasting, trust-based partnerships within the community it serves.

In 2021, under Chief DiPersio, the Hudson Police Department’s Community Action Team (C.A.T.) was established. The women and men of the Hudson Police Department have embraced the community policing philosophy and work hard to develop strong working relationships with local community-based organizations, neighborhood associations, faith-based groups, business owners, private citizens, and other government agencies. By working together, the Hudson Police and these community stakeholders can provide long-term solutions to the quality of life issues facing neighborhoods throughout the Town of Hudson.

Some examples of our outreach programs are:

  • Coffee and Tea with the Hudson Police Department
  • CIT Mental Health Outreach
  • HPD Open House
  • Citizen Police Academy
  • Youth Police Academy
  • School Resource Officer Program
  • Community Resource Dog Program
  • Shop with a Cop
  • Food Drive
  • Residential Community Meetings

One Team. One Community. Better Together.

The goal of the C.A.T. program is to give law enforcement its most powerful tool – unity with the community that we serve. To learn more about the Hudson Police Community Action Team initiatives, or if you would like to connect with a CAT Officer, please contact the Community Services Division Commander, Lt.
