Traffic Services Unit

The Hudson Police Traffic Services Unit is a part of the department’s patrol division. Traffic Service Officers (TSO) are primarily responsible for traffic enforcement, traffic accident investigation, and traffic-related complaints. The mission of the unit is to promote traffic safety through education and enforcement. The officers partner with the community and other town departments to identify traffic-related problems and their potential solutions. TSOs may utilize various methods to reduce hazards such as education, engineering revisions, or enforcement.

TSOs are also trained in the department’s speed enforcement and data collection equipment. This equipment can be deployed to warn operators of their speeds and collect data. Parking Enforcement

The Town of Hudson Police Department employs 1 part-time parking enforcement officer who enforces parking regulations within the Town’s downtown business district during various hours. The parking enforcement officer is responsible for the enforcement of parking restrictions on town streets and municipal lots. Adhering to parking regulations by citizens, merchants, and shoppers helps make Hudson a more enjoyable place for residents and visitors to work, shop, eat, and play in the downtown business district.
